I wanted to share some ideas for wrapping presents for the Holidays. If you still haven’t wrapped your presents yet (or even bought them), there is still plenty of time! See below for tips and ideas!
Wrapping Paper

My wrapping paper rolls were all purchased for less than $3-$5 each at various stores – Ikea, H&M (in the home section, looks like they might be out of stock this year), even Jewel Osco. I try to avoid using bags to wrap because I feel like it’s a shortcut and I really enjoy wrapping gifts using wrapping paper!

I also love the look of kraft paper when used for wrapping. I love mixing it in with my other wrapping paper. It can also be used all year round! I got the kraft paper you can see here on Amazon. It has lasted me over 2 years! I am excited that I also recently purchased this pink butcher/kraft paper on Amazon as well, it is actually made for cooking meat, but is awesome for crafts as well and pretty thick!
Here is a video to help you with gift wrapping if you aren’t so skilled or haven’t tried it before. Don’t feel bad, it isn’t always easy!
If you want your gifts to really look professional here are some tips on wrapping the box lid and bottom separately! I tried this for various gifts this year and love how it looks. It is also much easier to reuse these boxes, so is a more sustainable option as well. Any boxes I used were from products I’ve bought over the years or from gifts I have received that come in nice, sturdy boxes. This is also a great idea if you have a bunch of unused shoeboxes laying around!
Gift Tags

I love creating gift tags with stamps and scrapbook paper! It allows you to customize your tags however you want and change them each year.

The scrapbook paper that I used and the purple hole punch I bought at The WasteShed in Chicago – it’s a store where people donate art supplies they no longer use and you can purchase them for pennies on the dollar. It’s a non-profit that supports art programs in local schools, I also donate here as well when I am looking to declutter my supplies. If you don’t live in Chicago, search for similar non-profits in your city! The star shaped hole punch I’ve had for years. I love to use the star shaped one when the ribbon on my gifts is thicker and won’t fit through a hole created by a small hole punch. Similar materials can always be purchased at your local craft store or Amazon!
Have hole punches that have gotten dull over the years? Did you know you can use tin foil and wax paper to sharpen them?

Linking the stamps I use – the penguin (the exact one is sold out so I am linking a different penguin one that is also adorable), angel, and ornament stamps. The Merry Christmas stamp is from the dollar spot at Target from last year. I purchased stamp pads from Amazon (not the best quality, but they do the trick). Etsy is a great resource for both stamp pads and stamps, and you’ll be supporting small businesses!
Gift Toppers and Ribbon

This year I decided to add the detail of using faux pine branches and holly berry stems, both from Amazon. You can use one or both as toppers or something different entirely!

I decided to cut up the pine branches and berries so they would be more scale with some of the smaller gifts. I wrapped the pieces together using picture hanging wire before tying them onto the gifts with ribbon.

I always wrap the ribbon around the gifts before cutting so that I know it will be the right size for the gifts and have enough left over to make a nice bow. The ribbon I used is from various places – my grandma’s supplies, Ikea, and ribbon I have saved from boxes of chocolates, things I have purchased, etc. One thing I love to do is to use sewing supplies as ribbon – pretty elastic, thin lace, trim, rick rack, etc. Get creative with it! If you are using a topper, tie it on first with the ribbon, then slide on your gift tags and tie a bow.
Finished Gifts
I hope you found this post helpful and that you will have a safe, healthy, and happy holiday whether you are celebrating with others or shipping your gifts this year!

Simple beautiful ideas, I love them!
I also appreciated the wrapping ideas that lend themselves to reuse and recycle.
